What Manos Home Care Aides Do

Cook	Prepare meals for the day and make meals in advance for reheating during the week
Clean	Vacuum, dust, wash floors and dishes, do laundry, and perform other household chores
Help with Personal Care	Bath, assist in toileting, turn bedridden patients, and assist in other daily living activities
Run Errands	Shop, bring patients to doctor visits, and make other local trips

Other Support Services

24-Hour a Day Response	We are on call 24 hours a day. After office hours, when you leave a message, our on-call manager is paged, and will return your call shortly.
Additional Training for Staff	If our home care aides need special training for your needs, our registered nurse will make a home visit to provide the instruction. Our home care aides also visit rehabilitation facilities for training before a client goes home.
Site Visits	We provide site visits as requested and can set up a specific site visit plan to meet your needs. We will ensure that our aides are present and evaluate the home care aide's on-the-job performance. We also provide traning for a specific task. If you need a site visit for a medical evaluation of the client, we can refer you to a home care nurse or agency.
Emergency Assignments	If you need additional help, we will work to assign or replace workers when you request it, and we will always attempt to accommodate your scheduling needs as quickly as possible.
Taxes and Wages Paid	We pay all employment taxes and wages. By contracting with Manos Home Care, you are not responsible for paying your worker's federal, state, or local taxes.
Bonded and Insured	We carry liability and bonding insurance for all our home care aides. We also have workers' compensation insurance in case an aide is injured in your home. Because we employ our home care aides, you are not involved in the potential legal problems of hiring or firing of any home care aide who provides services in your home.

Van Service

Van service is primarily provided for customers using our weekly home care services. Our van has a wheelchair lift and is currently offered by appointment. Subject to availability. Please call the office for prices.
